What is Component Design?
We’ve indicated that component design minimizes the logistical costs and person hours for installation and repair, but what is it? The basic TrailerBlade side skirt is comprised of four separate parts: Upper panels, lower skirt, and our patented Mounting Strut. These parts, along with the TrailerBlade door and any other add-ons, can retrofit any trailer and can be installed and adjusted separately. This four-way adjustment ensures a perfect installation on every trailer, every time, without irksome vibrations.
As we have mentioned before, thanks to this component design, with TrailerBlade you will never again need to replace the entire skirt because of some small damage to one of its parts.

Fast & Easy Installation and Repair
Since you only replace or repair what you damage, TrailerBlade’s component design means both easy maintenance and lower repair costs. Thanks to our revolutionary, adjustable-strut design and easy, bolt-on installation, proper installation is quick and easy.

While many side skirts require factory installation, which can vary from three to five person hours, TrailerBlade sides skirts usually take about two person hours. Additionally, with the TrailerBlade Fast Install feature, the side skirt can be installed in 30 minutes or less by one person. We can prove it, too.
